Rockland Community College Celebrates Haitian Heritage

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Rockland Community College will celebrate Haitian heritage with a series of free events that began Thursday.

Chef Michelle Timothee of La Talaye Catering opened the series Thursday with a Haitian cooking demonstration at the Student Union from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Marc Mathelier will demonstrate Sounds and Legends of Haiti with a musical interlude on classical guitar at the Technology Center, Ellipse on Thursday, April 21, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. 

The Cultural Arts Center, Atrium will host a Haitian Day Celebration with music, food and drinks on Thursday, April 28, from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
