St. Patrick's Day Parade, Concerts, More Coming To Orangetown Area

NYACK, N.Y. -- Rockland County will host several events for St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Boxing the Needle will perform a set of originals and covers at Olive's at 118 Main St. in Nyack. The gig takes place Friday, at 10 p.m.

The Nyack Village Theatre will host an Evening of Irish Readings and Interpretations at 8 p.m. on Friday.

Elmwood Community Playhouse will screen "A Time to Kill" on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

"The Man Who Came to Dinner" will play at Antrim Playhouse in Suffern on March 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. and March 20 at 2 p.m.

"Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will screen at Nyack High School at 8 p.m. on Friday and at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday.

River Rowing's 10th Annual Pull with Perpose Ergathon fundraiser to benefit the Nyack Center will take place Saturday  from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the RRA Studio in Nyack. 

Rockland Farm Alliance's Open House takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Cropsey Farm. 

The Expression of Women Rising at Volition Gallery will feature female artists sharing stories and visions through an exhibition of paintings, sculptures, photography and live performances from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday

Caroline Doctorow and Jamie Block will perform at Union Arts Center in Sparkill on Saturday at 8 p.m.

The Roues Brothers will debut their History of Blues to Rock Series on Saturday, at 8:30 p.m. at The Turning Point in Piermont. 

The Historical Society of Rockland and the Town of Haverstraw will present the Dutchtown and Major Andre: Highlights of Haverstraw History exhibit on Friday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. until May 15. 

Hopper House Art Center will exhibit the work of three women artists from Iran through April 24 on Wednesdays through Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.

The state's second largest St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place in Pearl River at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 20, on Main St.

Sparkill Salon Series will present "The Last Romantic" with pianist Nadejda Vlaeva at Union Arts Center on Sunday, at 3 p.m.

VCS and NOW of Rockland County will screen "She's Beautiful When She's Angry" at Nyacl Library on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The Rockland Symphony Orchestra will perform with Rockland Conservatory's Main Street Singers and the Green Meadow School Chorus at Green Meadow Rose Concert Hall on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Karkowska Sisters will perform at Valley Cottage Library on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. 

The Historical Society of the Nyacks Museum will present the Nyack Business: Long Before the Malls exhibit at Depew House on Sundays through May 29 at 1 p.m.
