West Nyack Free Library Celebrates With Haiku-a-thon

WEST NYACK, N.Y. -- West Nyack Free Library is giving a special gift for kids to patrons who visit the Children's Room for National Library Week and share why they love the room.

National Library Week is April 10 through 16.

The Children's Room will also hold a "Haiku-a-thon." Patrons can write their haikus on special sheets available at the library. The library hopes to place all the entries inside a book.

A haiku is a three-line poem consisting of five, seven then five syllables on each respective line.
