All-Day Fundraiser For Puerto Rico, Mexico Will Be Held In Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY -- Residents ready to help out the thousands in need in Puerto Rico and Mexico from Hurricane Maria can take part in an upcoming fundraiser in Haverstraw on Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1.

The event, sponsored by the Rockland County Police Hispanic Society, the American Legion Post 46, the Haverstraw Hispanic American Lions Club and others, will be held 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Haverstraw Fire Station.

Some of the needed goods include cases of baby formula, diapers, wipes, cases of water, flashlights, camping lanterns, batteries of all sizes, tarps, blankets, AM/FM radios, first aid kits, bug repellents, feminine hygiene products, tents and other items such as soaps, toothbrushes, etc.
