Astor CEO Appointed President Of Board Advocating For Children's Health

RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- The CEO of Astor Servives has another title to add to his list.

James McGuirk has been named president of the board of the New York State Coalition for Children's Behavior Health.

James McGuirk, CEO of the Rhinebeck-based organization has been named president of the board for the New York State Coalition for Children's Behavioral Health, a statewide organization that provides policy, advocacy and member services through collaboration to promote the best possible behavioral health services to children, youth and families in New York State.

“I am proud and honored to serve as President of the New York State Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health’s board,” said McGuirk. “There’s no more important work than supporting children and families, especially those coping behavioral and emotional disturbances."

McGuirk has been working with children and families for more than 30 years, including 25 years with Astor Services for Children & Families. He was appointed executive director/CEO in 2002. McGuirk was previously the chair of the Dutchess County Health and Human Service Advisory Committee and serves on other national and state committees that promote the health, welfare and rights of children and families.
