Dr. Hal Teitelbaum was presented with the award by former Orange County Executive, Edward Diana, at the Orange County Citizens Foundation 22nd Annual Ottaway Medal Dinner held on Wednesday, May 4th at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor.
Each year, the prestigious Ottaway Medal is given to a community leader who exemplifies the dedication and positive impact that the Ottaway family brought to Orange County and the Hudson Valley for several decades.
In recognizing the core mission of the Orange County Citizens Foundation – community engagement, volunteerism and advocating for the public good - the medal celebrates others whose endeavors and actions are representative of that same altruism.
Dr. Teitelbaum’s innovative vision and unwavering commitment to Orange County throughout the past 30 years are evident in nearly every community – from Newburgh, to Monroe, to Middletown. His contributions to these communities have improved the quality of life in Orange County and have made it a better place to live, work and play.
Dr. Teitelbaum established Crystal Run Healthcare along with his partners, Robert Dinsmore, MD and Manual Perry, MD in 1996 and since then, the practice has steadily grown as a leader in healthcare transformation and delivery in Orange, Sullivan and Rockland Counties.
Dr. Teitelbaum serves as Crystal Run’s Managing Partner & CEO. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology and completed his training at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, respectively. In 1998, Dr. Teitelbaum earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and in 2012, a JD from Columbia Law School. He is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the CEO Council of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA), and the New York Bar Association. He is also a member with Advanced Standing in the American Association for Physician Leadership, among other professional association memberships.
“This region has provided all of us here at Crystal Run with a quality of life that is second to none. Just as it is our mission to improve the quality of life through the healthcare services we provide, we enthusiastically support the Orange County Citizens Foundation for its contributions to Orange County’s quality of life. I thank the Orange County Citizens Foundation for this honor – I am humbled to be so recognized,” Teitelbaum said.
