She is a registered nurse with her Master's Degree in Nursing Education, and Post Master's Degree in Nursing Administration. As a result of Cassagnol’s experience in preparing for and assisting with victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, she founded WCFR to provide health education, first aid, and disaster-preparedness training.
She has presented locally, nationally and internationally at nursing conferences about WCFR and its collaboration with other non-profit organizations to improve global health outcomes. In addition, Ms. Cassagnol has presented at an International Research Congress regarding a disaster preparedness project that she initiated through WCFR in collaboration with Haitian American Nurses Association (HANA) at Faculte des Science Infirmieres a Leogane (FSIL), a nursing school in Haiti.
She has been recognized with numerous distinguished awards for her community services. Cassagnol is also a nursing professor at Dominican College, a Rockland Community Emergency Responsive Team (CERT) member, a Leadership Rockland (LR) member, a HANA member, a Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Honor Society of Nursing leadership succession committee member, and a founding member and immediate past vice-president of the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce.
