A tractor-trailer fire closed a lane on Route 17 southbound in Paramus during the Monday morning commute, Jan. 12. The fire was reported as of 8:40 a.m., south of Midland Avenue in Paramus, according to DOT alerts. A tri-axle dump truck struck and knocked down a utility pole, downing wires on a Ridgewood street after making a delivery on Friday morning, Jan. 9, according to incident photographer Boyd A. Overturned Tractor-Trailer Shuts Down Route 287 At NY/NJ Border
All lanes of Route 287 north were closed late Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6, after a tractor-trailer overturned in Mahwah just before the New York border. The incident happened near Exit 66 at the Route 17 interchange in Mahwah. The crash was reported as of approximately 4:55 p.m. Traffic cams show the tractor-trailer blocking all northbound lanes, forcing a complete shutdown of the highway.
