According to Clarkstown police investigators, a Brega Transport bus driver was pressing the gas pedal, thinking it was the brake, when she sped down Route 303 and rammed a slow-moving ambulette, killing its passenger, lohud.com said.

Ambulette passenger Vincent Careccio, 48, of Pomona, died in the collision. Both vehicles suffered major damage, lohud.com said.

Marie Morisset, the bus driver, lives in Spring Valley, lohud.com said.
