In addition to Zibelman, County Executive Ed Day was joined by county officials, Allan Beers, coordinator of Environmental Resources for Rockland County; Harriet Cornell, chairwoman, Rockland Task Force on Water Resources Management; and Alden Wolfe, chairman, Rockland County Legislature, to ask that something be done.

"It's no secret that Rockland County home and business owners pay some of the highest water rates in New York State. The PSC must hold United Water accountable by demanding a major commitment to aggressive infrastructure repair and maintenance," said Day.

Following the meeting Zibelman agreed to encourage United Water New York to rejoin Rockland's Task Force on Water Resources Management, following its withdrawal in August.
