Liam and Olivia were the most popular names among New York babies born in 2015, according to the Social Security Administration.

Nationwide, however, Liam and Olivia came in second place behind Noah and Emma, respectively, as the most popular baby names.

The most popular names for boy babies in New York were Liam, Jacob, Ethan, Noah, Michael, Matthew, Mason, Joseph, Lucas and Daniel.

For baby girls, the most popular names in New York were Olivia, Emma, Sophia, Isabella, Mia, Ava, Emily, Charlotte, Madison and Abigail.
