The Historical Society has been offering the tours since 2014, a popular avenue for residents to get a water-level vantage point of construction, lohud.com noted.

The tour departs from the Haverstraw Marina, where riders will cruise along the Hudson River for 15 miles in a Mississippi-style paddle boat, viewing construction while learning about the Hudson Valley's history, reported lohud.com.

People from all over New York State and surrounding areas have taken the tours, organizers said, lohud.com noted.
