Rockland County's Homeless Population Rises In 2016

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Rockland County's homeless population is on the rise, according to lohud.com

A Point-in-Time Count survey found 141 homeless people currently in Rockland County, a nearly 20 percent increase from 117 in 2015, lohud.com reported.

Sixty-five of the homeless counted were in emergency shelters, 44 were in transitional housing, while 32 were reportedly living outdoors, lohud.com said.
