The accused leader of a cocaine trafficking operation tied to Penn State students and two fraternity houses is pushing to take his case before a Centre County jury in December after being held for court, court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Tuesday, Sept. 22 show.
Agostino Abbatiello, 24, of Westbury, previously of Carle Place, New York, was held for further proceedings following a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 2, according to a motion filed by his attorney, Philip M. Masorti.

A Long Island man has been convicted of sexually abusing his stepdaughter and biological daughter, authorities said Friday, Sept. 25.
The predator, identified only as a 40-year-old “Honduran national,” faces up to 46 years in prison at his sentencing hearing, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
The man’s concerning actions began when his stepdaughter was only 6 years old and he showed her porn, investigators said. Then beginning in December 2020, when the girl was 10 years old, he started sexually abusing her, authorities said.

A New York mom has been arrested in the killing of her 10-year-old daughter, police announced Friday, Sept. 25.
Angelica Sullivan, 30, of Ellenville, was charged with killing Kathleen Elizabeth Pulido on Aug. 18, 2025, New York State Police said.
State troopers did not reveal additional details about the case. Kathleen’s death was initially reported as a medical emergency.
The Ellenville Police Department arrived at a home on Park Street for reports of an unresponsive 10-year-old girl, who was rushed to Ellenville Regional Hospital and pronounced dead, authorities said.

Borys Barrera Callejas, 38, of Hicksville, was first confronted by police for failing to report his new social media accounts, the Nassau County Police Department said.

A Long Island man who sold fentanyl and cocaine to an undercover cop was convicted Thursday, Sept. 24 at trial, authorities said.
Nicholas Cox, 36, of Port Jefferson Station, faces up to 30 years in prison due to his criminal history, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
Cox was first arrested in February 2023, after the undercover cop bought fentanyl and cocaine from him four times between Feb. 2 and Feb. 20 that year, prosecutors said.

Attacker Admits Nearly Killing Stranger In Babylon Stabbing Attack: Authorities
A Hudson Valley man has admitted to stabbing a stranger in the neck on Long Island, authorities said.
Robert Brozowski, 35, of Yonkers, pleaded guilty to first-degree assault for the attack in Babylon, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
Brozowski is expected to get 18 years in prison at his sentencing hearing Wednesday, Oct. 28, the DA’s office said. Prosecutors dropped an attempted murder charge in the plea deal, according to online court records.
