Three Hudson Valley residents face felony charges after police said they found them with a stolen, loaded handgun during a traffic stop on I-84 in Putnam County.
The arrests followed a stop on I-84 eastbound in Southeast on Friday, Sept. 11, at around 9:45 p.m., New York State Police said on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

A young Long Island man left a starving dog locked in a basement with little to eat, authorities said Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Isaiah Thomas, 20, of Wheatley Heights, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 15 on two animal cruelty charges, the Suffolk County SPCA said.
Thomas owned a 4-year-old Cane Corso named Apollo, then confined the dog to a basement secured by a metal door that was held closed by three vehicle tires, investigators said.
