Kenneth Brennan, 67, Valley Cottage Resident

VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y. — Valley Cottage resident Kenneth Brennan died on Tuesday, April 26. He was 67.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1948, in the Bronx to Edward and Della Brennan.

Brennan attended Rice High School in Manhattan and graduated college from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. 

He was a Vietnam War veteran and retired New York City police officer, as well as owner of the Deer Head Inn in West Nyack. 

Brennan was Man of the Year in 2000 for the Rockland County Bar and Restaurant Association. 

He is survived by his wife Delia, daughter Lauren Glynn and son in law Brian, son Joseph and granddaughter Samantha Rose. 

He also is survived by a brother, Thomas Brennan and his wife, Tess and a sister, Maureen Brennan Mercier and her husband, Mark.

He was predeceased by his brothers Michael and Edward.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 W. Nyack Road in West Nyack. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 36 W. Nyack Road in Nanuet. 

Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
