CONGERS, N.Y. -- Loraine V. Peterson of Congers, formerly of Piermont, died on Sunday, April 2. She was 69.
Peterson was a Home Economics teacher for the Nyack School District for 35 years before retiring in 2003. She was born Feb. 24, 1948 in Nyack, to John J. and Valerie (Tomiak) Peterson.
She is survived by her daughter, Allison (Joel) Clinton of Ramsey, granddaughter, Victoria and brothers, John J. Peterson (Marie) and Norman G. Peterson (Claire).
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul R. C. Church, Congers. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Nanuet.
Visiting is Wednesday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
