10 Departments Respond To Bardonia Fire; Two Apartments Destroyed

BARDONIA, N.Y. -- Fire ripped through a condominium complex in Clarkstown Tuesday morning, destroying two units and damaging others, according to a report by lohud.com.

It took firefighters from 10 departments about an hour to put the blaze out at Germonds Village on Route 304 in Bardonia, lohud.com reported.

All residents were evacuated safely but several firefighters suffered minor burns, fire officials told lohud.com.

Among the fire departments responding to the scene were, according to Rockland Fires: Nanuet, Pearl River, Nyack, West Nyack, Central Nyack, Suffern, Hillcrest and Spring Valley.

Orangetown and New City also responded, according to lohud.com.

The cause of the fire is being investigated, but does not appear to be suspicious at this time, lohud.com’s story said.
