Middletown Man Caught After Stealing Port Jervis Elks Lodge ATM, Police Say

An ATM with nearly $2,000 in cash inside was stolen from an Orange County Elks Lodge, state police said.

New York State Police investigators received a report early on Monday, July 17 of a burglary at the Port Jervis Elks Lodge in Deerpark. Police said that an ATM with nearly $1,800 inside was taken from the building. The machine was soon found in Wallkill, with all the cash removed.

An investigation by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation led to the arrest of Middletown resident Glenn White, 53, who allegedly stole the machine. 

White was arrested and charged with burglary and grand larceny, both felonies. Following his arraignment in the Town of Wallkill Court, White was remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
