New City Fire Department Reports To Omni Court Condos For Alarm

NEW CITY, N.Y. -- New City Firefighters were dispatched to the Omni Court condos for an alarm activation on Monday, June 6.

06/09/2016 1:28 p.m.

Upon arrival after the 3:50 a.m. alarm, Chief Dennis Rodriguez reported he discovered a broken fire sprinkler leaking water.

Realizing the building stored pool chemicals for the complex, he requested the Rockland County Hazardous Materials team to the scene as a precaution.

Under his command everyone operated as a team and the situation was quickly under control.

The firefighters and hazmat team are volunteers.
