Police Investigating Rockland Dispute Say Man Had Three Unlicensed Handguns

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Police investigating a dispute in Chestnut Ridge on Friday said they foud a man in possession of three unlicensed handguns.

Officers responded to a private residence to follow up on the civil dispute, Ramapo Police said. 

A man from Beverly Hills, Florida, age 56, was found in possession of the three handguns and didn't have a New York State Pistol Permit, for any of them, police said.

The man, who has not been identified, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. 

He was remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in the Village of Chestnut Ridge Court on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
