Ramapo police found the 50-year-old woman after receiving a call around 7:15 p.m. from the resident who told officers he could hear the cries for help in the area of Park Avenue and Algonquin Circle in the Village of Airmont, police said.
Officers on scene could also hear the cries for help, but couldn't locate where it was coming from. Eventually, by checking the entire area, officers found the woman laying in the snow and ice in a nearby driveway.
The woman told officers she had been on the ground for two hours and couldn't get up. While awaiting the ambulance and paramedics, officers warmed the woman as she was showing signs of hypothermia, police said.
She was treated and transported to the hospital by Rockland paramedics and Ramapo Valley Ambulance and is expected to be okay.
