Rockland Man Arrested For Criminal Contempt

STONY POINT, N.Y. - A 44-year-old Pomona man was arrested for criminal contempt stemming from a violation of a protection order, according to police.

Matthew Prentice was arrested on Aug. 30 by the Stony Point Police Department for violating an order of protection. The arrest followed a warrant investigation, according to Stony Point Police Lt. Keith Williams. 

Prentice was arraigned in the town justice court and released on an appearance ticket after posting $250 bail. He was given a court date for later this month.
