Two More Charged In Rockland Undercover Drug Bust

Two more people have been charged in a drug crackdown by the Rockland County Drug Task Force in Spring Valley following a five-month investigation into drug dealing in the town.

On Thursday, eight people were nabbed by the task force that served a search warrant in relation to drug dealing at the Lakeview Village senior apartment complex in Spring Valley, police said. 

In addition to the warrant at 71 Lakeview Village, the task force, along with the  Spring Valley Police Department Tactical Unit also served a warrant at 99 Bethune Blvd. and located more than six ounces of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash, said Spring Valley Police. 

Arrested during the search included Elie Civil, 42, of Spring Valley and Jamal Niol, 20, Spring Valley. Both were charged with criminal possession of marijuana, police said. 

The arrests are the culmination of the investigation by the Rockland County Drug Task Force with information from the Spring Valley Police Department which included undercover buys, buyer beware operations, search warrants all to dismantle the drug dealings and quality of life issues.
