Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, is expected to officially name Pence at a press conference at the Hilton in Midtown Manhattan Friday at 11 a.m.

Pence, who is serving his first term as governor, will not run for re-election.

Pence beat out Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

In a sign Pence is indeed Trump's selection, he is not on the list of speakers at next week's Republican convention while Gindrich and Christie are. That could signal Pence will deliver the Wednesday night VP nominee acceptance speech.

The Indiana governor previously served in Congress and was a member of the House Republican Committee. Pence had previously endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz before Trump secured the nomination.

Trump, who owns property in Bedford, also owns Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley in Stormville and Trump National Westchester in Briarcliff Manor. The Trump name also adorns Trump Tower At City Center in White Plains, Trump Plaza in New Rochelle, Trump Park Residences in Yorktown and the Donald J. Trump State Park on the Westchester/Putnam border.
