CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- A public hearing will be held by the Clarkstown Central School District on Jan. 21 to discuss the approval of the Smart Schools Investment Plans for the district.
The meeting, which begins at 8 p.m. at the Chestnut Grove Administrative Building, 62, Old Middletown Road, New City, will offer an overview and copy of the plan before the proposed vote.
The plan, part of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's effort to upgrade technology in the state's schools, has allocated the Clarkstown School District to receive $2,806,902 to use for the following instructional technology priorities:
- Upgrade the district's network infrastructure
- Expand the district's wireless equipment in place
- Refresh uninterrupted power supply
- Provide for Instructional devices and classroom technology
