As president of the New York Italian-American Conference of Legislators, Carlucci leads a bipartisan group of lawmakers from both the Assembly and Senate who actively promote and celebrate New York state's Italian-American community.

The mission of the conference is to highlight Italian-American contributions to New York and beyond in all aspects of society, including literature, the arts, architecture and politics.

The conference also actively works to dispel negative stereotypes of Italian-Americans.

"Given the high costs of college, every opportunity must be made by local students and their working families to meet their required expenses with scholarships, as well as with student loans, available financial aid and personal contributions,” said Carlucci.

“I highly recommend that students in Rockland and Westchester counties apply for these prestigious scholarships offered by the conference so that they may hopefully secure as much extra help with their expenses as possible," he said.
