NEW CITY, N.Y. -- For the 20th consecutive year the Clarkstown Central School District is inviting nominations for its Education Hall of Fame.
This recognition program was developed to honor those who made significant contributions to the Clarkstown Central School District students in prior years.
The Education Hall of Fame is open to past employees of the school district who made significant contributions to the improvement of the school system in their own special ways over a sustained period of time.
Nominees must have been retired from the Clarkstown Central School District for at least three years at the time of the nomination.
They may include past teachers, support personnel (e.g., nurses, secretaries), administrators, or past members of the Board of Education.
To nominate a person whose past contributions are still well-recalled, very evident, and much appreciated, at least two individuals must submit a combined letter of nomination or send separate letters of nomination.
The letters should focus on the ways that the nominee made a special contribution to the school system during her/his time of active association with the district.
Nomination letters should be approximately 2-3 pages typed and doubled spaced and must be submitted by April 15. The two annual winners will be named at a May meeting of the Board of Education.
Nominations should be mailed to the Clarkstown Central School District, Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City, New York 10956.
