Clarkstown South High Principal Debra Tarantino beams when she starts to talk about the parts of the job that she loves.

And like so many principals Daily Voice has spoken with, what drives Tarantino is seeing the fruits of her work: the kids. Growing, learning, reaching, achieving.

Tarantino grew up in Orangeburg, and attended Tappan Zee High School, where she was a diver on the swim team.

Her education also included time at Ramapo College, St Thomas Aquinas and New Paltz. Tarantino was an Assistant Principal at Clarkstown South for six years prior to becoming Principal four years ago.

Watch the video to hear Tarantino talk about what she finds special about Clarkstown South High School, great educational programs in the school, what makes her love her job and more.
