Clarkstown North High Softball Team Wins On The Road In Playoff Opener

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. - The ninth-seeded Clarkstown North High School softball team hit the road Friday to take on eighth-seeded Roy C. Ketcham in a Class AA opening-round playoff game.

It was the Rams who earned the upset, riding a five-run second inning to a 9-5 victory, behind freshman starter and winner Kaitlyn Fudge.

Brittney Fata had a three-run double and drove in four runs for North, and Gianna Lia added two RBI with a double.

Jessica Roe started and took the loss, and Brandi Pettit pitched in relief for RCK, which ended its season at 14-7.
