Rossman Wins In Ramapo Democrat Michael Rossman has an early lead against Democrat William Weber in the race for unexpired seat on the Ramapo Town Council.  With around 96 percent of districts reporting their votes Rossman has 23,969 votes to Weber's 12,998, according to unofficial election results.  The seat is vacant due to the resignation of Samuel Tress, who vacated his seat to avoid prison time after favoring a zoning change that benefitted a project he held a financial stake in.

Zebrowski Wins Uncontested Race In 96th District Incumbent Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski was re-elected in the 96th Assembly District in what was an uncontested election.  Zebrowski, a native of New City and a practicing attorney, has been in Albany since 2007 when he won a special election. Subsequently he has been re-elected in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014.  District 96 includes Clarkstown, Haverstraw, and the villages of Pomona, Wesley Hills, and New Hempstead in Ramapo.

Meals On Wheels Serves 8,000th Meal Thursday marked a special milestone for Meals on Wheels of Rockland, and they celebrated it with a special person.  State Sen. David Carlucci joined the non-profit to deliver their 8,000th meal to Marian Merton, a 102-year-old senior, in Nanuet.  Carlucci recently helped the organization secure $50,000 in funding to support the Homebound Meal Delivery Program.
