An Air Quality Alert has been issued for two counties in the Hudson Valley for Saturday: Westchester and Rockland. It's in effect from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m.

The sweltering weather has already lasted much of the week. The Hot and humid conditions will continue Saturday with temperatures in the upper 80s along the coast to lower 90s inland. The combination of the heat and humidity will make it feel like the lower to mid-90s.

For Saturday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 a.m., with overnight lows in the low 70s.

Sunday will see a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, but otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 85 degrees.

On an Air Quality Action Day, ground level ozone may approach or exceed healthy standards.
