Fire At Home On Country Club Road In Norwalk Under Investigation NORWALK, Conn. -- The cause of a fire that began in the kitchen of a house at 18 Country Club Road in Norwalk on Tuesday, Sept. 13, is under investigation, according to The Hour. The fire, which started after 12:30 p.m., spread to the rest of the second floor, according to The Hour. Only one of several residents who live there was home at the time, and he was able to escape without injury, according to The Hour. Jim Carpenter, as he was always known professionally, was born in Norwalk on Jan. 3, 1947. He was the second son of John Richard Carpenter, a conductor on the railroad, and Helen Budnick Carpenter, a nurse at Norwalk Hospital. As a young boy he was discovered to have a talent for dancing and went on to dance in and eventually choreograph stage musicals. He graduated from Sacred Heart University in 1969 and began a career as a public school teacher. He taught English, Latin and for almost 30 years was best known …

Newtown Police Seeking Help In Finding Suspect In Crash NEWTOWN, Conn. — The Newtown Police Department is asking the public for help in finding a blue Hyundai Elantra that was involved in an accident early Sunday and fled the scene, police said. The crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Walnut Tree Hill Road in the area of Patriot Ridge Road, police said in a Facebook post.  The car — which was from a model year sometime between 2011 and 2013 — was damaged on the front passenger side, police said.  The Newtown Police ask anyone who knows the owner of the car to get in contact with them at 203-426-5841.
