Stamford Man Charged With Attacking Girlfriend With Knife STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man was charged with second-degree assault after allegedly slashing his girlfriend with a knife on Tuesday night, according to the Stamford Advocate. Elmsford Little League Wins New York State Championship ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- The Elmsford Little League Seniors recently won the New York State Championship.  The Elmsford Seniors consist of 15 and 16 year old boys from Greenburgh. They are the first Elmsford Little League team to win the state title.  After rallying from an 7-0 deficit to defeat North Tonawanda 8-7, the Seniors secured the title in the second game in a 10-4 victory.  The team will now advance to the Eastern Regionals outside of Philadelphia.
