VanderWatch: Sights, Sounds From Grace VanderWaal's Suffern Parade Hundreds turned out in Suffern on Saturday to celebrate one local girl's monumental accomplishment. Hometown Hero: Hundreds Turn Out To Celebrate Rockland's Grace VanderWaal It's official. Saturday, Oct. 1 is Grace VanderWaal Day in Rockland County. Having a day named in her honor was just one of many presents Suffern's Grace VanderWaal received on Saturday. A parade was held in VanderWaal's honor after she won NBC's competition "America's Got Talent" in September. Woman Found Asleep Behind Wheel In Rockland Charged With DWI PEARL RIVER, N.Y. - A 51-year-old woman from Washington Township was arrested for DWI in Pearl River after she was found stopped in a roadway, asleep behind the wheel, according to police. Plenty To Enjoy At Dominican Sisters Of Blauvelt Fall Fest BLAUVELT, N.Y. - Saturday was a bright, crisp sunny day, a perfect day for a fall festival. It was also the day the Domincan Sisters of Blauvelt hosted their 66th annual Autumn Festival, a celebration that started at a hotel in the Bronx in 1950 that has steadily grown into a big affair over the years. Man Hits Woman In Face While Driving In Orangeburg, Police Say ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - Orangetown police arrested a 32-year-old New York City man after he allegedly struck a woman in the face while inside a car and with a child present.
