Walden Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Child Under 13 WALDEN, N.Y. – A Walden man is facing charges of predatory sexual assault of a child under the age of 13, according to New York Sate Police.  Alton Royal, 53, was arrested and arraigned on the felony charges on Thursday, Troopers said.  Royal was remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.  This was a joint investigation between the Troop F Orange County Child Abuse Unit, which is comprised of members from the State Police, Orange County Sherriff’s Office, Port Jervis Police Department and the Goshen Police Department, the Orange County CPS and state police investigators from NYC.

Newburgh Man Sentenced To 16 Years For Fatal Shooting NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Newburgh man will spend the next 16 years in prison for shooting another man in the back and killing him, according to the Times Herald-Record.  Fabian Corley, 25, was sentenced on Thursday after pleading guilty to manslaughter charges in August. Corley admitted to just completing a drug sale back in March when Hubert Hines, 31, began to approach with a BB Gun.
