Ramapo Police Issue New Alert On Larcenies From Vehicles ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Ramapo police have issued an alert to residents regarding a rise in the number of larcenies from motor vehicles in the Village of Sloatsburg.  To help curb the rip-offs, officers are reminding residents to lock their vehicle, keep any personal belongings out of sight and remove any valuables when leaving the vehicle.  They also suggest parking in public or well-lit areas.  Police are also encouraging residents to report any suspicious activity to the Ramapo Police Department at 845-357-2400.
